MINI CONCECTRATIPN #2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok so my concentration was on stereotypes and how they can erase people's personalities. to show this i photgraphed people dressed in clothes fitting a stereotype and took away their face. stereotypes are gross ... remember WHEN U MAKE ASSUMPTIONS U MAKE AN ASS OUT OF U AND ME !!!

The description matches the photos. I like the concept and I think it’s a really cool way to portray how stereotypes make it so that you can’t really get to know someone. My favorite is the punk one because I think the color scheme fits the stereotype the best. My least favorite is the prima donna girl one just because the lighting in the background is a little overexposed. Overall I really like your pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe description given was somewhat matching to the pictures taken. If there was no description, then it would be nearly impossible to decipher what the pictures meant. I think my favorite picture would be the last one, it was well photoshopped, just so that this makes it looks like the person free from personality and facial features. I don’t think that the descriptions given for each picture was really good because it was really specific, and less of a group stereotype. I think it could be improved by having more group elements of stereotypes rather than specific stereotypes.
ReplyDeleteYes the description matches the pictures. Overall the photos are very well done, and your concentration was very creative. My favorite picture is the first picture of Sam. I like how the trash cans are symmetrical on both sides. My least favorite picture is of Ali because the light is a bit distracting. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThe description was accurate with a good message. I think the idea is cool, the pictures follow the concept. One good one was probably the one of London although there are lockers in the background. One not so good is the one of Sam because there is a trash can in the picture. This could be improved by better backgrounds for the portraits.
ReplyDeleteYour description was A+++, aka you made my day because you did not make an ass out of you and me. The one of Ali is the best I think because I feel like girls who dress nicely and in skirts get stereotyped very often and I feel she fits the theme well. I think the backgrounds of all the photos could be improved and have added thought.
ReplyDeleteHey Clair, i think your description alot, and the over all concentration was very interesting and i was happy to be apart of it, i like the hipster the best because lighting was not very over exposed, and my least favorite was the girly girl because it was way to overexposed, and for next time i would just pay attention to you exposure. and i would try giving the pictures more of a feel by changing the tones and stuff in photoshop because it just seems like you didnt edit very much (which i know you did because it took alot of time to take out the faces over all) but very good job i like your mini concentration alot :D
ReplyDeleteClair – work on your CaPitalIZAtion and punct.uation…it hurts my EyZZ. First, good explanation of your idea. I like the idea a lot but I feel like you could have done better with the photos. Does Punk girl need to be posed next to the trash cans? Was that on purpose? A better background for Primadonna girl would have helped and are lockers hip? For the photoshop work you did a good job but you could have been a little more careful with the blurred faces. Overall, great idea and good excecution but they would be more powerful if you had spent a little more time on the original images (backgrounds, poses, etc.)
